HTR, which was established in 1990 as a Turkish-French joint venture of Thomson-CSF and Tekfen companies, in order to manufacture the TRS-22XX Long Range Air Defense Radars which is needed by the Air Force Command, has become a domestic Corporation with the transfer of Thales shares to Havelsan Inc. in February 2001. HTR is an indirect subsidiary of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
It continues its activities in the fields of Electronic Systems, Subsystem Design and Mass Production and Network Supported Security Systems in order to meet the needs of the defense industry, especially the armed forces.
To provide original solutions for the improvement and modernization of radar and military electronic systems, the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of network-supported security systems, mass production and testing of devices and subsystems and to become one of the 10 largest defense companies in Turkey by creating the entire technology and information infrastructure together with R&D activities to support these solutions and minimizing foreign dependency.

Thomson Tekfen Radar San. ve Tic A.S. was established with Turkish-French partnership for the production of TRS 22XX radars in Turkey within the scope of technology transfer of Long Range Mobile Air Search Radars.
Integrated Logistics Support service of TRS-22XX Radars started.
